Sealing gaps an joins in panels

Hi all,
Just wondering what product people use to seal the gaps where panels butt against the chassis eg where the front guards on my VK seal in the door jams and ontop under the bonnet under the guard bolts? I'm not very good at explaining it ha so hopefully someone understands.
