Hi just went through a very stressful rebuild on my hq wagon and when it was all too gether went to drive it and it was fueling up at full throttle now it was a new Holley 7448 with an adapter onto a maxi torquer manifold with a9x heads towing cam and a 40 bore all done to a 253 We changed jets , power valves needle and seats even changed metering blocks still the problem was there After reaching wits end I spoke to an old dirt track racer and he fed me some advice quote. Go and get ya self some stainless fly sceen wire and put it between the adapter and the manifold I had nothing to lose so I thought why not and believe it or not it works really well. I now have 56 jets .110 meddle and seat a 55 power valve a bit of fly screen tho ratio of the diff is a 2:73 tri and the thing is very hairy when ya drop the lead foot so there is my quick fix and it ain't running lean either hope it helps some one like it helped me cheers Keep it driven not hidden
