Spent the last 3months or so working on this and it finally hit the road about 10.30pm Saturday night:D
Engine is a 308 with trimatic originally out of a VK. No kits are avialable to do anything like this as I found out so we had to do it from scratch, fabricated and welded in engine mount adaptors, fabricated a trans mount, modified the trimatic yoke to mate with the nissan uni and a lot of work on the exhaust to clear the front driveshaft and transfer case. Also had to heavily modify a VN era power steering bracket to hold the nissan pump as the holden pump wouldnt fit, radiator is a VQ V8 held in place with some homemade bracketry.
At this point there are only a few small details to finish off before it can be reliably driven anywhere but the few runs up and down the street so far it is very impressive compared to the slow old 2.8 it had before and sound is awesome through the 2" twin system.
