Anyway I've got a VT with 140k on it im getting a throttle plate NOS system ready to be installed as ive always wanted to try a nitrous injected car, (its on my bucket list, ive got slow onset renal failure, so 4 good years on my clock more than the car) apart from that which is just a tick off a list and wont be using v little,.
I got an otr cai and an 85MM throttle body, im hoping to get a little more down low power, so im looking at a mafless tune to go with the otr cai, but also a diff swap from 3.4 standard to an ss? 3.7 or 3.9 (6 speed manual) but will that will push up the fuel suck on what is a damn good car for fuel economy on the highway which is why I basically why I brought it not as a shopping trolly but a travellin car to get me out of town why I've got 2 legs (thats another problem or story), anyway im prattling on,
1 from stock, with factory 2 1/2 in exaust and factory headers 2 1/2.
2) Have brought a 85mm throttle body, OTR CAI yet to be installed) and a throttle plate nos EFI wet kit, bolts between intake manifold and throttle body) (anyone know what a stock LS1 can handle? will 100hp jet be a problem), an looking at a mafless tune or thou Ive seen Xlarge mafs that profess to remove the need to take of the maf, anyone know of these Granatelli Mass Air Flow Sensor http://www.racepages.com/products/?sid=1368F719D43A&rid=1368F719D43A&N=5951+1246+158 8+4294963743
I know i cant drive round at 250km/h so im looking at low and mid range torque, any suggestions specially on the maf tune, how much wear will it put on the engine and changing diff ratios on a manual is it worth while, given my health ill be taking the cash 4 labor route, as preferred options, also Canberra is a rip off on parts an labour they must think were all pollies, so any suggestions on a sydney shop that does good work and reasonable prices.
Sorry bout the jumble of questions and info but anything anyone can give me is appreciated, so stock VT EXEC factory extractors and 2 1/2 in exhaust, was 200rwkw off the factory floor no idea where its at now, just want some low/mid go fast but not engine rattlingly so tips, this 6s 5.7 vt has never been messed with in any way yet, the nos is just a childhood experience I've put on hold till my 40'th end of may an probably unplugged after that, its the CAI and maf or mafless tunes, diff ratios im interested in, thanks and any other sugestions ive not thought of, also one last thing ive got an eaton 112 supercharger, owes me 1200$ but cant find a manifold to fit it to an ls1 it the big bro to the supercharged V6, any help mating the 112 to the LS1 would be great too, starting from scratch so all advice taken .
