I'm reasonably new to this sight and New to owning a 1962 sv1 valiant.
here are a few issues that I really need help with.
the other day I had issues with the 3 speed manual column shift, it would be able to move Into 2nd and 3rd but unable to get into 1st and reverse. It felt as though the linkage was binding up as I was unable to find neutral as well. After stuffing around for 2 or so hours trying to move the car we were able to start off in second with a heavy amount of clutch work and man power to push it. After moving the car 10 or so metres the clutch became depressed. Are theses clutches cable or hydraulic? Does anyone know what could have happened to the clutch in the process of moving it knowing that is did get a fair bit of a work out.
the clutch was replaced not to long ago.
