Hi there just wanted to introduce myself,i have just re-signed up again after not being on here for a few years now. Anyways i just wanted to get all the info i need and ask questions along the way as i have just recently got a clean near all original vs ss in pantha mica with what i think is low kay's 182,000. I am going to do some re-search as i am about to choose what engine combo to go with. I have a engine turner,engine hoist,And a mechanic mate willing to teach me how to build my motor for nothing :D as long as i am doing all the work with a few exceptions.
What i want to work out is what is the best path,I would love to keep it as a all aussie muscle car and avoid the gen 3 conversion even tho its easy power and they sound sick but i preffer the sound off a aussie bent 8.
Originally i was going to go with a ebay scat forged 355 stroker kit but have heard they snap in half :P and if they hold up they dont make a great deal off power but they have the one thing i want. Tuff v8 noise. My second option is i am heading towards this way atm is forged 5 litre or 333 stroker with a roots or centrifugal supercharger as i can get a blower shop side setup for 2.6k off a mate ; ).
Atm car is stock besides the hsv exhaust system and stage 2 shift kitted auto. Auto sadly is crap and reverse is very near death and i am considering going T5 conversion but my mechanic advisers me there weak and wont handle much power and he reckons built auto any day. Choices ey!
I have had my new project for about 3 weeks now and i have in that time rwc/registered it,19's,black vinitian's i re-painted white,High tech headers off a vn 355 stroker.
