Hi Guys, I have Just got my hx wagon registered on the road and having a bit of a teething problem with cooling. I have a 1977 hx Stationwagon and fitted a eagle 290hp crate motor, performer manifold 650 holley spreadbore carb, 4-2-1 headers. ASI alloy radiator custom alloy shroud and two 10" Thermo fans hooked upto thermo switch on at 85 and off at 80, running a 74 degree thermostat, new w/pump and hoses. timing is set at 8 degrees at idle and the engine runs anywhere between 190 F and 212 f, the weather is around a 35-42 c ambiant temp.
Can anyone tell me if this is too hot to run the engine at and if so any pointers to where i may have over looked something.
Cheers Dean
