smaller cam to go faster??

goes against all theories but throwing the idea out there.basically my setup is street & vast majority of my driving is that althogh short trips but long distances to race means 4.44 gears is out 3.55 is to stay. earlier this year i could run consistant 8.8x 1/8 mile.last 2 meetings ive only cracked the 8 once & that was an 8.99 so barely there.only thing different is ive closed the lash settings upto the specd .018 rather than the .025 i had em at cause assometer felt quicker.60ft & e.t backs that up.my cam is 238@50 525 lift 275 108 lsa solid camtech.with my gearing it just won't 60ft even with perfect traction.tried everywhere from 3000-5500 just won't move.the Bob hotel article got me thinking.is it likely a bit smaller cam may work better with my setup cause 2.2 2.3 60 ft are about .4 .5 off the mark.or am i just totally wrong?
