Hey guys, I'm tackling a project of transplanting an EFI 304 and TH700 from a VS stato into a HQ tunna.
The motor will be getting rebuilt before it is dropped into the tunna. I am 99% certain it is a virgin block. As the title says I wont atleast 320 or so horses.
I have been browsing just about every thread on here to learn what I can - Heres what I have come up with:
ACL rebuild kit
Rebore block 20 thou
ACL flat tops with Zero deck ---> Static CR @ 10.3:1 (Assuming 60cc head volume and 40thou head gasket)
Stock rods and rod bolts (is it worth going to the ARP? what is required to be modified to install these?)
Crane 286 or solid?? Still undecided here, any input?
YT bolt on roller rockers
Now this is where I am unsure - How will this setup go with the stock banana manifold? Would it be better to go back to a dual plane mani and 650DP? I think the cost of tuning the EFI setup would be pretty high plus I'd have to travel to Adelaide to get it done (400kms).
Any input would be great, my knowledge has went up 10 fold in the last week from all the info I've read on here, but I still have plenty to learn.
